What we are doing!

The Club House doors are now open from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday

We are weaving together the remote learning of the public schools with enriching after-school fun

Giving Time Back to Parents

Our staff is on hand to troubleshoot any Chrome Book challenges and provide homework help. Parents are able to go to work knowing that their children are well-cared for, with a breakfast and lunch, and gaining ground on their education.

Safety Is Our Number One Concern

The children are divided into pods and they stay with their pod throughout the day. Masks are mandatory, there is constant cleaning of workstations, and we have reimagined the Club rooms with space dividers ensure social distancing

Our Learning Hub Families

We are nearly at capacity:

  • 52% of our kids come from single parent households
  • 95% of our kids are Black
  • x% of our kids come from low-income households
  • 23% of our kids come from foster families
  • 16% of our kids are ‘English As A Second Language’ students

They love the kids and have their best interests in mind.

They helped with my son’s social skills. He is not much of a talker, but by the end of summer camp he was a chatterbox!

Miss Chantel [Director of Programs] is great. She always ensured safety, was kind, was clear, and double-checked on the individual safety and care of my daughter.

It helped because I’m working and the kids get to see other kids.

How can you help?

To meet the challenges faced by New Haven kids and their working parents due to the pandemic, the Club has stepped up to the plate…but our expenses have dramatically increased.

We hired more staff to ensure that local kids can access their remote learning and afterschool enrichment while their parents work.

We have invested  in PPE, space dividers, and additional cleaning services to keep our kids and staff safe.

Now, we need your help

It is only with the support of donors and community partners that we can keep this program running. Together, we can make this critical response to the COVID-19 pandemic within reach of any New  Haven family regardless of income and replicate our program across all New Haven neighborhoods.

Whatever It Takes

We do whatever it takes to help your children succeed. Giving each child a safe place to unwind is just the beginning. We encourage Club kids to dream big and believe in themselves. And we’ll help them get where they want to go, every step of the way.
