Building a Great Future for Your Child

More Than a Building

The Boys & Girls Club of New Haven has worked with generations of children in our community. We’re known for our fun summer camp, safe after school programs, and great sports. But we’re so much more. We build the character of every child who walks through our doors.

A Safe Supportive Second Home

Your child will benefit from our professional, caring staff who are using the proven award-winning approach to youth development of the Boys & Girls Club of America. Your kids and your family will also benefit from our network of local volunteers and engaged alumni.

Our Formula for Impact

“They love the kids and have their best interests in mind.”

“They helped with my son’s social skills. He is not much of a talker, but by the end of summer camp he was a chatterbox!”

“It helped because I’m working and the kids get to see other kids.”

As we face the COVID-19 pandemic as a community, we are determined to succeed. The health and safety of our members, our staff and volunteers is the number one priority of Boys & Girls Clubs of New Haven. We are doing everything possible to protect from the spread of the COVID-19 virus and will continue to follow the guidance from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Connecticut State Department of Health.

When kids become members of the Boys & Girls Club, they are in amazing company

It’s estimated that 1 out of every 16 Americans has been a Club kid at one point in their life! From A-list celebrities like Denzel Washington, Usher and Jennifer Lopez, to world-class athletes like Shaquille O’Neill, Evander Holyfield and Michael Phelps, to accomplished business leaders and heroic veterans from across the country, they all got their start at their hometown Boys & Girls Club.

Whatever It Takes

We do whatever it takes to help your children succeed. Giving each child a safe place to unwind is just the beginning. We encourage Club kids to dream big and believe in themselves. And we’ll help them get where they want to go, every step of the way.
