The Club gave my son somewhere to go so my husband and I could continue to work. With school being closed we had no options and have been scrambling for months. The Club is a blessing!
At the Learning Hub, my son gets help every day with his homework. I try to help him at home but I also have to take care of my mom and dad. Sometimes it takes a while before I get to help him.
I hope the Learning Hub continues to stay open during these trying times. It makes it possible for me to work while my child does his virtual learning. It is very hard for me because I work mornings and I don’t have childcare or family who can help.
At the Club I don’t have to worry about safety during the pandemic. Because they are constantly cleaning and sanitizing, everyone who enters the building has to wear a mask, and they take temperatures. The group leaders always make sure the kids wash their hands.
My son never stops talking about all of the fun he has. He can’t wait to go to the Learning Hub each day and he loves it. He needed the interaction after being stuck in the house for months.
