FUN! Love for Learning. Time with Friends. Building Character.

That is what the Boys & Girls Club of New Haven Afterschool Program is all about, for kids ages 6-14!

Along with more than 400 Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, we embrace the Boys & Girls Club of America’s research-based curriculum and activities that are directly aligned with the developmental needs of young people. Delivered by our dedicated and caring staff—with a local New Haven spin—they are proven to show gains in three priority outcome areas: Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Your child will:
• Have fun with friends
• Receive academic support and enrichment
• Enjoy a safe place, free from fear and violence
• Grow stronger and wiser in making positive life decisions
• Develop emotional and physical health and well-being

We help Club members achieve academic success by providing homework help and high-yield enrichment, with tutoring support from six area colleges and unique activities from our community program partners. Snacks are offered during homework help.

Kids will access our full-size gymnasium and game room (equipped with engaging board games, ping pong, air hockey, and–of course–X-Box), participate in arts, athletic and STEM enrichment activities, and most importantly—have fun. Youth are broken up into appropriate age groups and rotate through many exciting program areas, with the support of our trained and energetic youth development professionals.
